Musical background

To be honest I am not musical at all and believe I am tone deaf according to western ears. Back in my homeland (rural West Africa - the bush) we are not used to the standard European scales and keys. We tune into the vibe, melodies and meanings. I can't play a musical note but know a good tune if I hear one!

Biggest personal musical achievements

This must be running my own music companies and helping others get into the industry to make a career within it. Being a major part of Stage 1000's Ivor Novello and BAFTA awards for "Best Original Music For Television 2002" for a musical documentary called "Feltham Sings". Without my involvement they would not have even got the job that won it in the first place, let alone being the musical director.

Who inspires you musically?

My children and their open mind to all types of music is very inspiring to me. Other than that people like Micheal Jackson for his sheer talent, Bob Marley for his lyrics, Madonna for her youthful looks and lasting popularilty, Robbie Williams for his entertainment value, Optical for his technical wizardary, Austin Reynolds for his slap dash amazing anthems and last, and by no means least, the likes of Beethoven and the other great composers for their music.

Weirdly enough I get a lot of inspiration from listening to the sounds of nature, I reckon that's the most popular music there is as it is timeless and rarely changes. Absolute classic. Who made it?

Future plans

I plan to spend as much time in the studio as possible and catch up with all those who have left me behind, working with more musicians rather than DJs & Producers like most other dance music tends to. Working towards bringing more young fresh talent into the industry.

Likes

Obviously my second love (first being my family) is music, traveling the world hearing and seeing its wonders, getting high and generally being a twat and enjoying life as it is too short to be serious and uptight. Big smile!
