David started out when he was about 10 when he got hold of a drum machine and began to mess about with the sounds.

Feeling restricted by this I then managed to piece together a drum kit and continued to annoy my neighbours for a few years, this led to the usual getting together with a few lads from school and generally annoying the whole neighbourhood with our noise, once we gained a bit more skill we took it to the London pub circuit to gig about and learn our trade.

Once I had decided that this was more like torture than fun, I looked for an alternative and I found one in an old Amiga 500 with a copy of Octamed (a basic 'tracker' composing program), spent some time sampling and playing around with what the program offered, this gave way to “Fasttracker 2” on the PC which enabled me to use more channels and generally build a fuller sound.

A family friend had a studio setup in his loft, and I was getting bored working on my own so we hooked up for a couple of tracks to see what we could come up with along with a few other people that were in the mix, this led to 'The Loft Collective' which ran for a few years.

Then through various connections I made contact with Jason Cambridge at Eastside / Fuze Records, he liked a few of the tracks from my demo and asked me to work on them to get them up to scratch for release under the name “Skeptic”.

Wanting to push further with my writing I felt limited by the program I was using and so moved on to using “Reason” on the Mac, halted slightly by the sudden change in the different process of writing, I had to focus my skills once again, during this time I had made contact with Stage One and began to produce for music libraries.

My next step will be to work with some vocalists, I want to produce an album of 'songs' rather than just 'music', so Im currently in the process of getting some tracks together and searching out some vocalists that are up for anything, my intention is to build a collective of vocalists / turnatablists / musicians to tackle a mountain of genre's and possibly even create a new one, however this is still in its teething stages and finding the right people is a harder job than I thought it would be.

My inspirations are life, people and circumstances, musically I listen to anything and everything but right now I'm listening to music from Reggaeton to Stevie Wonder to Martin Solveig to The Editors to 70s Funk to Disco Rock and beyond, so I guess I would subconsciously take inspiration from those.
